Privacy Policy

Revy is a service of French California Home, LLC. Last updated June 2, 2026.

This Privacy Policy explains how French California Home, LLC (“Revy,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use the Revy website, app, and design services (the “Service”).

Information we collect

We collect the following, depending on how you use the Service:

  • Account information. Your email address and, if you provide it, your first name. We sign you in by email link or one-time code, so we do not store a password.
  • Design inputs. Your quiz answers, room scope, budget range, notes, and any inspiration images you upload.
  • Payment information. Payments are handled by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number. We keep records of your transactions, such as amount, date, and a payment reference.
  • Communications and feedback. Messages you send us, ratings, survey responses, and testimonials you choose to provide.
  • Inquiries. If you submit a custom-design or partner inquiry on our site, the contact and project details you provide (such as name, email, phone, location, project scope, or company details). We use these to respond to you, not to send marketing email unless you separately opt in.
  • Usage information. How you interact with the Service, collected through analytics as described below.
  • Consent records. When you opt in to marketing email or accept our Terms, we record the wording you agreed to, the date, and your IP address as proof of consent.

How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • create your design plans, moodboards, renderings, and source list;
  • process payments and provide customer support;
  • send account and transactional email (receipts, design-ready notices);
  • send marketing email if you have opted in;
  • operate, secure, and improve the Service;
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

AI processing of your inputs

To generate your designs, we process your inputs (including quiz answers, notes, and inspiration images) using artificial-intelligence service providers. These providers act on our instructions to provide the Service. We direct our AI providers not to use your content to train their models, where that option is available to us. Please avoid uploading images or information you do not want processed for this purpose.

Service providers

We share personal information with the vendors that run Revy, each acting on our behalf under a data-processing agreement:

  • Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage)
  • Vercel (application hosting and basic analytics)
  • Stripe (payment processing)
  • Resend (email delivery)
  • PostHog (product analytics and optional session recording)
  • Inngest (background job processing)
  • AI providers for design generation and image rendering

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer.

Cookies, analytics, and session recording

We use cookies and similar technologies for sign-in and to understand how the Service is used. Product analytics are provided by PostHog and Vercel.

Session recording, which captures how you navigate the app, is off by default and runs only if you opt in. When it is on, we mask the information you type so that the content of form fields is not captured. You can change your choice at any time.

Marketing email

You can opt out of our newsletter at any time using the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email, or the newsletter toggle in your account settings. Unsubscribing stops marketing email but is separate from deleting your account.

Your privacy rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. To make a request, email privacy@studiorevy.com from the address associated with your account.

Deletion. When you ask us to delete your account, we remove your profile, projects, quiz answers, design outputs, and newsletter subscription from our active systems. We respond to deletion requests within one month, as required under GDPR and UK GDPR. Where the CCPA applies, we respond within 45 days.

What we may retain. We may keep limited information where the law allows or requires it, including billing and payment records held by our payment processor (Stripe) and by us, retained for tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, and chargeback purposes, and records needed to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. We do not control, and cannot fully erase, transaction records Stripe is legally required to keep. We delete or anonymize everything not covered by those exceptions.

Backups. Deleted data may persist in routine encrypted backups until those backups age out on our normal rotation schedule. It is not restored to active systems except under controlled disaster recovery.

Your California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request access to or a copy of it, to request correction or deletion, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act. We also do not use sensitive personal information for purposes that would require us to offer a right to limit. To exercise a request, email privacy@studiorevy.com from the address on your account. We will verify your request by confirming control of that email address.

Legal bases (EU and UK)

Revy is offered only to users in the United States and we do not target the EU or UK. If EU or UK data-protection law nonetheless applies to you, we rely on these legal bases: performance of our contract with you (to provide the Service and process payment); your consent (for marketing email and optional analytics); our legitimate interests (to secure and improve the Service); and compliance with legal obligations (such as tax and accounting).

Where these laws apply, you also have the rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your data, to object to processing, to withdraw consent at any time, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, then delete or anonymize it, subject to the legal-retention exceptions described above. Payment and tax records are kept for the period required by law.

International transfers

We operate from the United States, and our providers may process data in the United States and elsewhere. Where you are in the EU or UK, transfers are governed by data-processing agreements and appropriate transfer safeguards.

Children

The Service is not directed to children, and you must be at least 18 to use it. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. When we make material changes we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
